Yesterday Is Heavy Lil Silva
A decade in the making, it comes as a surprise that this is the debut album from a name as familiar as Lil Silva. Having produced on Banks’ ‘Goddess’ back in 2014, and Adele’s ‘25’ in 2015, Lil Silva has dropped a series of singles, EPs and collabs but until now had never committed to a full long player. Thankfully, the wait has been well worth it, as years of honing his craft finds him crafting a cohesive collection of Pop-leaning UK Funky across a dozen tracks. Featuring regular collaborators like Sampha and serpentwithfeet alongside new faces like BADBADNOTGOOD and Charlotte Day Wilson, there’s nary a dip from start to finish.
